A Proud Couple: Abdou met Russell in January 1995. Their relationship is based on a long term loving commitment to each other. From their first meeting the two have lived as a couple maintaining a home together.
Abdou Ait Mahmoud and his partner Russell have won their two year battle with the Home Office to stay together in the UK.
Despite many set backs and notices from the Home Office requesting Abdou, who comes from Morocco to leave the UK. The couple with the help of the Gay and Lesbian community in Bedford, have campaigned relentlessly for the last two years.
Success came earlier this year, when the Home Office gave Abdou leave to remain on the basis of his relationship with Russell.
