Bayo Omoyiola: Still Here, Still Fighting

The Immigration Service has requested Bayo to co-operate in a “documentation process”. This has included him being asked to fill out his personal details for issuance of an Emergency Travel Certificate for a journey he was not planning for. Legal advice at Bayo’s disposal is to the effect that such co-operation would not be prejudicial to the on-going review. Succinctly, there could be a disadvantage in the long run if he does not co-operate with the documentation, which admittedly will take a long time (as if 15 months since legal loss was long enough). As usual Bayo is co-operating with the Home Office. He always does.

In October 1999 the campaign received £265 in donations from trade unions and kindred spirits in response to need. Thank you to all who responded.
A king-sized card was sent to the Home Secretary with comments by supporters, mainly reminding him of his promise to be compassionate when the outcome of the review arrives on his desk.
