Ten years after the murder of Stephen Lawrence, the National Civil Rights Movement and Leicester Civil Rights Movement are organising a one-day conference to examine the twin themes of the fight for racial justice and the struggle to defend the rights of asylum seekers.

Speakers include:

Imran Khan, Louise Christian, Gus John, Suresh Grover and local family campaigns.

Workshops on:

* Access to justice for asylum seekers
* The hysteria over asylum seeker
* The Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002
* Combating racism and attacks
* Banner Theatre - Migrant Voices
* Race and social cohesion
