Removals to DR Congo - Suspended!
aaaWhen asked on Thursday 1st of July, two immigration offices (Midlands and Southampton) said that removals to DR Congo have been temporarily suspended as have removals to Burundi.
aaaDR Congo embassy are no longer issuing emergency travel documents for failed asylum seekers or re-validating travel documents already issued.
aaaIf you know of any detainees from DR Congo or Burundi, still in detention, they should be able to apply for bail, if a detainee cannot be removed, they should not be detained.

Canada and the Republic of Ireland have suspended forced removals to DR Congo, since May.

You will need to check with the Home Office day to day to see if removals are still restricted
