Refugee and Migrant Justice
Sadly, because the government has withheld funding from Refugee and Migrant Justice, one of the largest providers of legal help to the migrant community in the UK and one of the only offering legal aid on 23 June it announced its closure.
If you are a current client of RMJ: We have been informed that all offices with the exception of Leeds, Birmingham and CLO are no longer functioning. These three are only operating in extremley limited capacity. In the case of an emergency, if you CURRENTLY have cases in Leeds, Birmingham or CLO, you can try to contact your caseworker by emailing them at their intial + surname@rmj.org.uk - Example: jsmith@rmj.org.uk. They are not accepting new cases.

Immigration Advisory Service (IAS)
The IAS provides immigration advice from offices in England, Wales and Scotland. Advice and representation is free to people who are entitled to Legal Aid. The IAS also provides a fee paying service for individuals not entitled to Legal Aid.

Asylum Aid
Asylum Aid offers free, confidential and independent legal advice and representation.

The advice line offers free one-off legal advice to asylum-seekers, refugees as well as individuals or organisations working with them.
The Advice Line operates on Mondays 2.00 pm - 4:30pm and Thursdays 10.00 am - 12:30pm.
